Last night I heard some pops and loud booms. I went out to investigate and a block away was this SUV on fire. Nobody was in it or injured to my knowledge, but it really destroyed the vehicle before the fire department got there.

As the fire department started to work on the fire, I noticed what seemed to be fireworks exploding from inside the car. Maybe just wiring sending sparks when grounding out, but they were pretty large sparks.

From the paper tag, it looks like it may have been a new car, or at least recently purchased if used. Quite a fireball!

Stolen and torched maybe? The paper tag seems to be from 2005

I think it's a 2005 Dodge, the expiration date is much smaller.

Possible, but I thought it started in the rear of the car, which would be unusual.

That's as good a possibility as any. They might have had a battery powered drill or etc in the back.
