Posting Game Photos

I’ve been asked to be the team photographer for my grandson’s high school baseball team. Years ago I used Flickr and posted about 50 pics a game in a slide show for soccer games. Flickr created a link that was sent to parents so they could view each game. I’m coming up with about 200-250 shots each game now and I’ll have to check to see if Flickr will let me post that many. Does anyone know of a better app to post that many photos and which gives parents easy access for viewing?

If you subscribe (pay) for Flickr, I think now $80 / year, you have all the functions you described and no limits on total storage, total image count, nor images added per 24-hour period.

The free version of Flickr has limits on the total number of images and the total storage used. I'm unsure if they also have a per-day upload limit. But, if none of those limits prevent you from sharing your image needs / counts, it's free there for your use, up to the 1000 total image count.

I suggest that you consider paring your slide show back down to 50-60 images. 200-250 is too many images for the parents to shuffle through to find those that are relevant to them.

You’re right, 250 is too many. When I did soccer or flag football I posted about 50 per game. Baseball is a little more of a challenge because I get carried away with the sequence I shoot of the few action shots I can get during a game. Going to have to do some more deleting. Thanks

Google Photos works well for this type of application

I found a site that allows unlimited storage of photos and videos. I don't do many videos, so I'm not sure if there is a limit on videos, but the photos I know are unlimited. The site is called Zonerama.com. They have a free version which suits my needs, and a paid version that at this point I don't think I need. I just found this site as an alternative to Shutterfly as they are shutting down their "Shared" portion of their website at the end of the month. I share photos regularly of events in my community via our community website. I send a link generated by Zonerama to the IT department that handles our website, and they post the link for all in the community to view. In addition, I will send the same link to the "talent" so they can view the photos that I've taken. You can set it up where they can download photos or make it so they can't...lots of features I'm still learning as I've only used this site for about a month. Good luck.
