You know Frank, I've always been an over the speed limit driver, but defensive and careful, and not crazy. And as an outside salesman in the electronics industry I saw many miles on the road. And, when I'm driving on snow covered roads at speeds that I feel are safe, and some nut passes me at twice my speed, I think it's just a matter of time for that clown! With many now driving 4 wheel drive vehicles I think there's a false sense of safety, but ice is ice, and not even 10 wheel drive will keep you from losing it!

we didn't get 8 inches here in Torrington Mark, could be around 5 though. Been snowing very lightly on and off most of the day.

I have been to Acadia twice, both times in summer, and I noticed no one gets in the water, they just lie on the sand. Kind of takes away from the beach experience, imho.

the water is too darn cold, that's the problem. As a kid, I grew up on Long Island and Jones Beach, and the other beaches were wonderful in the summer, and tons of people were in, and enjoying the water. It's amazing what a few hundred miles north will do!
