Titanic 25th anniversary release

I see on the news that a remastered version of James Cameron's “Titanic” will be re-released to theaters. Shortly after the movie was originally released I found a VHS version of it at a yard sale. I loaded it on my computer and using a video editing program eliminated all the scenes with Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. I was interested in the Titanic story not the fictional love story.
After the edit the length of movie went from three hours to about 45 minutes.
I hope Kate and Leo didn't get upset.

I've always said it was just a chick flick with special effects. I would love to see your version.

It will be interesting to see that. I wonder if there will any changes other than improved quality.

This is some info about an earlier Titanic movie. You don't have to watch the DiCaprio version:

The first-ever Titanic film came out a mere 29 days after the boat sank! Produced by Éclair Studios, the picture was called Saved From the Titanic. Today, it’s regarded as a movie of huge historical significance, and not just because of the release date.

I remember "A Night to Remember," about 1952. Remember?

Okay, so it was 1958. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Night_to_Remember_(1958_film)

There was a murder mystery with the same name - 1942.

There are many documentary about the Titanic, you don't need to edit the Kate and Leo version. That version is for people who want to watch Kate and Leo.

Oh yeah! With David McCallum as one of the Marconi operators.
