A piece of a 1961 Chrysler 300G photographed at the Greenwich Concours Show in 2022, thanks for looking!

Pretty photo, Vin. I had a '62 300 non letter series. It was a nice car. I'm sure you remember what a gorgeous dash they had... '61 and '62 were the same. Leather seats, 383, pushbutton. The lack of fins and the taillights were nothing to write home about however. If it was a '61, I probably would've kept it.

cars were big and overpowered, chrome was heavy, but gas was cheap and the air was cleaner.

but some folks can still make great photos of them and send us back in time.

Nice shot.

There is no such thing as an overpowered car 🙂🙂🙂

I agree with you and they all look alike. Two of my neighbors have SUV's; different brands, different years, almost the same color and I can't tell them apart. I have to look at the front decorative license plate or the stickers on the back to know whose vehicle it is.

Dodie

haha, sounds like my wife's complaint when she can't find our "gray SUV" in the supermarket parking lot! But, that bright red Chrysler above would be an easy find in that lot!!

I loved chrome too, the real thing.

ahhh, maybe someday, and we don't want any plastic chrome versions!! Yep, the real thing with actual metal under that shiny layer!

Beautiful image Vince - the Tri-5 Chevy's were works of art.

Indeed, that they were Bill, but nothing made a statement with their fins like Chrysler Corp cars, and of course, Cadillac too. Thanks!

thanks Ray, with those big blocks they were potent cars in their day! Now, a 4 cylinder Honda Civic R would blow the doors off of them!

thanks Jack, most appreciated! Let's keep MOPAR alive! I read somewhere that Dodge will soon be killing the Challenger (one more time actually) but those supercharged hemi Hellcats will go out with a bang! I'm not sure if I read the fate of the Charger, however. I'm sure Fiat would rather turn them all into little "Topogigios"
