My grandmother's wedding day portrait... It was sealed and framed under glass and was tricky to get a shot without reflections. Basic adjustments in ACR and a little healing brush to take away distractions...Tried to retain original colors best I could. Prob. late 1800's. It prob. looks better to me than to you due to compression etc... Enjoy...
It's a lovely ELEGANT image. Fashionable pose in keepg with the era, good dramatic lighting, nice detail, and good background management. Considering the very rudimentary equipment of that era, the photographer did a masterful job.
If you want a better copy, use polarized light and a CPL filter on the camera- it will shoot right through the glass.

Thank you SO much for the info... I was not sure of the light and all my polarizers were packed away so I just set it up and shot a little off axis which really helped...
Great, well done original photo for the times. I have a similar photo (not as fancy) of my great grandmother from latter 1800s only in a BLACK dress. Did some research, interesting... "It was common in the late nineteenth century for women to wear their “best” dress, often black, to their weddings. White dresses began gaining popularity following Queen Victoria's wedding in 1840, but as with most trends, it took quite awhile for the custom to become popular in the middle and lower classes."
Epic use of broad lighting...
Stellar wardrobe styling and set design...
Elegant use of golden earth tones...
Thank you so much for your time/effort in sharing this endearing bridal portraiture Mr Bob...
