A tough game for me on Sunday!

I'm not a huge pro sports fan. Major league baseball, golf, and college basketball, and football have been my go-to sports entertainment. With the NFL I've always latched onto a player -- I followed San Fran when Montana was there, Indy and Denver when Peyton played on those teams, Minnesota with Tarkington, etc. When Peyton retired I didn't have someone to watch until Mahomes came along. I think he does so many unique things with the ball from underhand throws to shuffle passes and accurate 40-yard bullets. But I have been interested in the "home team" for the last two years since I live only 50 miles from Philly. I would like to see Mahomes have one of his magical games where he throws for 350 yards but ultimately loses to Philly! It's hard to want your cake and eat it too! With Philly playing, I might even get my wife to watch with me. My grandson will watch also but if it's like some other games I've watched with him, he'll spend more time on his phone than watching the game! Anyone else on here going to watch the game?

The Chiefs are my 2nd team so I will be rooting for them this Sunday. However, I've been watching both teams play and I will say that I honestly don't think the Chiefs can handle the Eagles. The Eagles defense is really tough and will put so much pressure on Patrick he won't have the time he needs to find his receivers and I think they will shut down the Chiefs run game. The Eagles offensive line is good and will quickly tire out the Chiefs defense. It should be a good game.

With Mahomes being able to airmail the ball better and Hurt able to scramble and extend plays I think the offenses will be pretty equal. I do agree the Eagles' defense could determine the game -- it will all come down to their ability to put enough pressure on Mahomes. If the Eagles bring their "A" game defensively, it could be a long day for the Chiefs.

I'm not a huge pro sports fan. Major league baseb... (show quote)

It really depends on the numbers I have in the Super Bowl. One of the pools I have Eagles with 1 and Chiefs with 4, but this is only a small payout pool. In my big ones they are not going to pick the numbers until about 3 PM Sunday, because each of those pools have a vacant square which is being raffled off. Anything over $200 collected in the raffle will go to the lodge for our charities. Hope I don’t wind up with bad numbers like 5 and 5 or 8 and 8.

Mike, I get where you are coming from. I was an Eagles fan for years. They lost a Super Bowl playing against the Raiders in the early 80’s. By this time I was living in Connecticut and I switched my allegiance to the Giants, and am still a Giants fan. My back up NFC team is the Eagles. But then there is Mahomes, who seems to pull things off that are constantly worthy of mention. I just hope for a close game - one where the Eagles get the win!

I like football...but it's too boring to sit through. 11 minutes of play in 3 hours...no thanks.

I do watch the highlight reels which cuts it down to the core 11 minutes...more or less.

Soccer or Rugby is the choices I've made...simply because it's non stop action.

The only thing that I would watch are the commercials. No football in my house. Only Hockey, Lacrosse, and Australian rules football. College, Minors, NHL, and competitions.

I'm not going to arenas due to potential issues. Besides, my teams are all out-of-state.

I'm a long time (and long suffering) Bears fan, and they were so bad this season they've got the #1 draft pick, which they'll probably screw up.

Because I live in Nebraska the NFL thinks we're in the Kansas City market. I generally care less about the Chiefs than most of the other pro teams, except I enjoy seeing them beat Denver. I was cheering for San Francisco in the playoffs.

I know my wife is a Mahomes fan to the extent that she follows pro football at all (I doubt she could name more than two or three players in the league and associate them with their current teams), but I'm leaning slightly in favor of the Eagles. Mostly I'd like to see an exciting close game, too many Super Bowls have been one-sided snooze fests.

I haven't gone to one in years...when I lived near NYC we had corporate tickets on the glass at both Islanders and Ranger games.

Took every advantage of that including baseball as well...Mets seats were always available...lol.

If I was ditching school...I'd hitch in to the city and buy a nosebleed seat...then just walk over to the corporate box and sat there.

My mother gave me corporate tickets to Rangers games in NYC. We were the first row home team goalie line. Miss those days.

Mid rink back of the team...the speed doesn't translate on tv very well.

When they swing by or hit that glass...it hits home.
