Over this last weekend, we had a big event at the Superstition Mountain Museum, in Apache Junction, AZ. We had several Native American vendors selling everything from jewelry, to weaving, to paintings, to carvings, etc. Along with that, we had entertainers doing the traditional Indian Hoop Dancing and food vendors. It's one of the museum's largest annual festivals.
As a Volunteer at the museum, my responsibility is to photograph the events which will be used for postings in Social Media, newsletters and on their website. I pretty much ran myself ragged trying to keep up with all the activities. One of the groups was from the Mandan Tribe in North Dakota, who drove down here just to participate in the two-day event.
Here's a mix of some of my photos from the busy weekend:

Interesting set of photos, Jack--wish I could have been there to see it.

Thanks jaymatt, the weather cooperated, chilly at the start, but sunny later. We had a great turnout, both days.

Neat shots.
I have about 10 pottery pieces I got from local artists when I was in Santa Fe and Taos many years ago.
One I use as a pencil holder on the desk.
Lovely photographs. I enjoyed all of them.

What a great celebration of tradition. Do the artists sell their creations? Is there a link to a website where you are able to purchase their artwork? I really like the native Americans in costume and US military garb. Navajo people were a great help in WWII. I thank all for their service.
