Also known as a "Live aboard Trawler". I encountered many older Trawlers while traveling the Trent Severn Waterway in Ontario, Canada, beautiful boats they are! Our was a 37ft trawler called the "Alcan 370", made in 1967 by the Alcan Aluminum Co. Having an aluminum hull and cabin, the boat was much less upkeep than a wooden boat.

After looking at some of the 1930's photographs on line I noticed that there was some boats from that era that were Trumpy yachts and they had a gold filagree on the bow just like the one in this picture.
