When the government runs a deficit, the debt increases; when the government runs a surplus, the debt shrinks.

Look at the previous contention that blames Biden is solely for the debt; that’s where the lying and hypocrisy is the greatest! Another hypocrisy is the number of republicans who are going around and stating the wonderful things that are happening due to the infrastructure bill, yet are boohooing about the expenditures. Do they believe one is true without the other and that their states would be getting the benefit if not for the bill and spending?
Show me where I said democrats do not play a part in the debt? Of course they do, just as all representatives do during their political tenures. It’s their job, literally, to spend taxpayer money. That’s why yahoos like Santos aren’t fit for that role.
