Anyone looking for the X-tend a Sight mounts to put a Red Dot sight on your camera?
I just found a few leftovers from my store closing. I have the standard mounts, mounts including the dovetail adapter, and the dovetail adapter alone. I also have several hot shoe mount adapters available. All are brand new, un-used parts. Shipping included in prices. No plastic parts here, all machined steel or hardened aluminum.
Mounts....$21
Mounts w/dovetail...$28
Dovetail alone...$10
Hot shoe mount...$10
I have a Red Dot Sight which I use with my 500mm when shooting small birds. Could you explain what these accessories do in detail?

This is the most stable way of mounting a Red Dot sight on your camera body itilizing the cameras hot shoe. This mount, plus your Red Dot sight is all that is needed.

My Red Dot Sight has a hot shoe so I am all set? It does wiggle in there though.
Sounds like the Olympus plastic unit?

I have overcome the "wiggle". Drill four holes radially in the knurled nut which tightens onto the top of the hotshoe of the camera. Use an appropriately sized allen key which fits in the drilled holes to really tighten the sight on the hotshoe. To drill these holes you will need a drill press and a drill press vise. You can get rid of the burrs which will be in the inner threads by running a 1/4-20 tap through.
Before you tighten it take all of the "wiggle" out by rotating it clockwise the the hotshoe. Then carefully sight in the red dot so it coincides with the center focusing point. You're all set. Next time you install it just rotate all the play out by twisting it clockwise and tighten it with the allen key. IT WILL NO LONGER WIGGLE and will be accurately aimed.
Note: Install a thin plastic washer between the camera's hotshoe and the tightening nut so that you will not mar the camera.

That is why you buy properly machined products, so you don't have to mass with them like that.

Is there a "properly machined product" which will not have any play in the camera's hotshoe?

Yes, the X-tend a Sight by Photosolv. That was the whole reason I chose to sell them in my store.

Looking good there. Not as advanced as you with the LCD. Thanks.
