Youtube video speeds up all by itself

Last night I watched some videos on youtube. It would play fine for a few minutes then the video speed up extremely fast (10x or more). The audio is distorted (not chipmunk like a normal sped up audio). I closed Chrome and relaunch. Same problem. All videos on youtube were affected.
I didn't reboot the computer. I will try sometime today and see.

Wow, strange. I view video and play music on YouTube all the time, daily and have never seen that happen while using my SmartPhone or PC. Device or Service Provider or the Source File?

Try deleting the YouTube app then rebooting your device. Then reinstall and reboot again.

I don't use the youtube app. I use Chrome. After rebooting the PC it seems OK now.

No when I had the problem I tried to watch videos that I knew were good. They still have the problem.
