And besides, you can always slap an ugly, highly contrasting signature across your image for "protection," can't you?

I would be very curious to know how many amateurs who regularly post to Instagram have won infringement suits, either by registering their images or displaying their "watermark." I have a feeling the number is very low...

Years ago one of the members on this site was regularly posting my pictures as his and telling how and where he had taken the picture. I contacted the administrator and ask them to look at the EXF data and copyright info to the photos he was posting which proved he was stealing my photos. And they dealt with him. Problem was corrected due to my name and copyright added to each picture.

when you click OK when you joined, you gave away any rights to images you post. So others can use them. Go in and check itout. will it stand up in court? I have no idea.
