First Bird shot with new R5

Went out today with the new R5 and an adapted EF Sigma 150-600 lens hoping for some good bird shots. Unfortunately I felt like I was in that episode of Star Trek where they are on that planet with no animal life at all. Finally, I spotted a western blue bird on a power line and managed to get at least one decent shot. Also saw a couple in a puddle in the driveway.
600mm f6.3, ISO 125, 1/1000th. Heavy crop (scaled down to be no more than 3Meg)

Very nice, so much detail in the bottom bird.

I'd agree! Now I need to get myself down to Bosque Del Apache for some serious birding!

Yeah Blue Birds! In the east they're sky blue but rare. Down south there are Indigo Buntings, dark royal blue, very tiny but very pretty; love those tiny things!

Thanks - I just wish the surroundings would have been more interesting than an electric wire and a mud puddle in the driveway
