Nikon issued a technical service advisory for the Nikon Z9. The lens may stuck on your camera.

Phew! Not affected. I was a bit concerned I might have to be without my Z9 for a while! Yeah, I know. That should be my biggest problem in life, eh?

That happens all the time.

It's an oversight issue for Nikon...quality control is theirs...or so they market it that way.

One would think Nikon would be more careful assembling their flagship camera.

Chinese has nothing to do with quality. The Chinese makes from the best and worst products.

I think it has to do with the fact that Nikon couldn't make them fast enough. Trying to speed up causes quality problem.

Actually it does.
I remember here in this forum in the past Nikon fanboys bashing Tiwan/Chinese made lenses and cameras as very inferior.
But when Nikon went cheap to save a buck Chinese/Taiwan is just as good as Japan made.
Hilarious. Just like DR is no longer discussed now that most Canon products have greater DR now.

I think DJI makes the best consumer drones and they are really Chinese aren't they. It's the saving a buck outsourcing that hurts the quality.
But in this case I believe it's the hurry up to get the production out was the cause.

I agree, China is capable of producing any quality level that a customer is willing to pay for.

People over look the iPhone...made in China.

I believe DJI is not Nikon.
And as I said you Nikon fanboys trashed made in China until miraculously when Nikon started making all their cameras there it all of a sudden makes amazingly quality products.

I am the Nikon fanboy and although I said Chinese makes products ranking from best to worst. I do not buy a Nikon made in China. I do however buy a Lenovo computer made in China.

Since it's near the 2 year anniversary of your original post I wonder if Nikon has completed the move to Thailand? Are they still make the D6 in Japan? Are they making it in Thailand now? Or they are not making it any more although it's still in their line up?
