I have been using an RF 24-70 and an RF 70-200 on my full frame R6 with no problems. I just ordered an R7 which is not a full frame. My question is : will those 2 lenses work OK on the R7 ?

A lot of people use those 2 focal lengths on APS-C cameras and swear by them. They are generally the better lenses in the line up. Personally I think they are too long for the format.

I use them both on my 7DII, and they will work just fine on your R7 with the use of the adaptor.

Re: R 7. I too have been thinking of purchasing an R7, which has an APS-C sensor. I was thinking of buying a Canon RF 100-500mm L lens, which is a full frame lens, to use with the R7. I called the professional products people at B & H and they assured me that it would result in images that would be the "equivalent" of 750 mms. Regards, Davidb1879.

Full Frame lenses either EF or RF mount will work on their respective crop frame bodies and the EF & EF-s will work on the R bodies with adapter.

I have 2 Canon FF EF mount bodies, 3 Canon aps-c/crop sensor bodies with EF-s mounts and an R7 aps-c/crop sensor. I have tried every lens I own on the R7 using the adapter. I also have one FF RF mount lens (100-400 non-L) and one RF-s mount lens (18-150 non-L).
The 'L' lenses are Canon's high grade/pro lenses, and that means more $$$. The lenses marked EF-s or RF-s will only mount on the aps-c/crop sensor bodies, not the full frame ones. Those marked EF or RF will mount and work on both types of bodies.

There are several adapters to mount EF lenses on the RF bodies (Canon alone makes 3 different models) but there are NO adapters for RF lenses on EF bodies.
One of my favorites for use on my R7 is my EF 100-400L mk2, but I lust after the RF 100-500L because it has that extra 100 mm for my bird photography and due to new design/construction it is much lighter. I just figured out if I save my Mad Money (40% VA disability pension) for 4 months I can pay cash for one to have the Easter Bunny leave it in my camera bag for me.

I just saw an article that stated that because the EF/EF-s to RF adapter is an FF mount, it will let EF-s crop sensor lenses work on an FF RF mount camera. That didn't occur to me since I don't have any EF-s lenses, but my wife does. I will have to try that, after lunch. I expect to find that would get a lot of vignetting at most focal lengths if you tried an EF-s lens on a full frame RF body.

A little more time now.
All RF lenses will work except the VR lens is designed currently just for the R5.
Your R7 will also use any EF and EFs lens perfectly with all their features with the Canon adapter. So if you run across a good EF or EFs lens that interests you get it withi NO compatibility worries.
PS, you can also use manual FD, FL, R and M39 Lenses on your R7 with the proper adapter.

Any EF, EF-s, or RF lens will work on any R Series Canon camera. EF and EF-s require an adapter. RF does not, of course. In case anyone is wondering, RF lenses will not work on any DSLR.

RF lenses are made for R cameras. I tend to doubt that you are using them on your 7DII I believe you are using EF lenses.
