I’ve had great service from White House Custom Color @ whcc.com

Thank you for the suggestion. Looks like White House Custom Color, Aluminyze or Bay Photo makes the size I need and the mounting looks sturdy! The websites are easy to use, (mostly) and Aluminyze is very easy to upload and see what my picture will look like!

I am wondering if anyone had metal prints made? If so where was it printed and how was the quality? I am looking into having 30" x 20" prints made of several vehicles I've photographed for the champions who won their class. I am not sure where will be best to have them made. Thank you for your input!!

I have had excellent results with Printique (an Adorama company). They make 20x30 metal prints. Good customer service, high quality prints, quick turnaround, fair prices (often you can score 10-30% off with periodic promotions.)

I use " Artbeat Studios" in California. They are excellent. I've ordered multiple large metal prints for my clients and they have come excellent.

Costco 20X30" $93.99

I don’t believe I’ve actually ordered anything from Bay but I know some of the management and have seen their work up close and personal at WPPI and it looks very exceptional.
I used Die Hard Printing and liked their work.
Personally, gloss white is almost the surface I exclusively used when I printed metal. Sometimes a clear gloss. Tried Matt surface but it’s too dull looking for me.

Professional labs. I recommend White House Custom Color or Black River Imaging (a division of Bay Photo that, unlike Bay, doesn't add shipping costs to your order). Black River presently has a 20% off sale going, ends 12/28/2022.

I ordered a bunch of prints from Black River and they were too magenta. Had to send pictures of original prints next to their prints.
They redid them all.
In all fairness, this was over 5 years ago or so.

Another vote for Bay Photo metal prints. I have a gallery of their metal prints in various sizes. The colors are always vibrant and accurate. Yes, I have used other labs but Bay Photo seems to be best imho.

Interesting. I've never had an issue with BRI color; side by side with same image, I can't tell a BRI print from one from Bay (and prints as large as 20x30 seem to ship from the same lab in California whether ordered from BRI or Bay). I do calibrate my monitor regularly; perhaps that is a factor in the color consistency to which I am accustomed. I have only been using BRI heavily for the past three years or so, however.

Are you aware of Fine Art America? Yes, it's a website for selling artwork, but it's also a place where one can upload an image for printing. They do very nice metal prints. And their backing system is wood, not plastic, so it's easy to attach a wire very securely. They are a bit more expensive than Costco, but I believe less than Bay Photo.

Bay Photo
Send them an image and request a sample pack - 6 different finishes of the same photo. 5x7 is a reasonable size, and very reasonably priced.

Another vote for Aluminyze. I've had a half dozen prints made. All were excellent. I prefer the satin finish as opposed to glossy.

I have only had one metal print made. I used Bay Photo and it was very good. I think my first order came with a 10% discount.
