yep, those were the days when everyone wanted 4 on the floor, but were quickly finding out that Chrysler's Torqueflight automatic, which first became available in '57, was beating them at the track and on the street. Thanks!

thanks dusty, as you see the car here I believe only 334 convertible 1961 300G's were produced, so the likelihood of seeing one now, or even then, was probably pretty rare.

Drove a 300 like this one. Black with Red interer 3 speed std. on the floor. Wish I still had it but it liked to visit the gas station TOOOO much

but gas was no issue back then! I can remember the often gas wars when gas could be bought for 19.9 a gallon! A buck got you 5 gallons. Today, a buck will buy you enough to drive out of the damn gas station!
