Thanks. I just might do it again.

A friend makes these stockings. Initially, her mother made four but my friend has taken over the tradition and made one for each of her two children and then one for each grandchild as they have come along. There are 10 total.
I took these pics really quickly on my phone as I was leaving her home today. Hope they come out OK.

Gorgeous keepsakes!

Yes. They are amazing, detailed and well done!!! She's an incredible grandma, doing so many neat things with each of her grandchildren.

We have been without power for 12 hrs. No telling when it will come back on. Conserving phone battery.

Oh, Pat! I am so sorry to hear that! I hope you have
a standby generator.

Losing electricity is my biggest worry as I get older. The
last time it happened, we were away, so I wasn't able
to start the generator and of course the sump pump
quit working and we wound it with several thousands
of dollars in damage or loss.

Prayers for you and yours!
Tim

Dee's mother worked in Yonkers Department Store for a few years when Dee was younger. While there she did aquire quite a collection of costume jewelry that neither her brother nor sister wanted any of it when she passed. So we decided to make some Christmas decorations for a tradition to remember her by when we set out the Christmas decorations. We kept three and gave our daughter three.

WOW! Beautiful!

Dang, I almost forgot her very first one. A gift that started it all

This is a little late but...
I thought you and Dee would appreciate this so I took a picture a couple days ago. I don't know how it started but after getting this Santa and we already had the sleigh, my husband made this display and has put it together every year in the same place in the room for many, many years.

We [thrive] on Christmas traditions in our family.

Our lives are centered around the "coming of Christ" and Salvation's message, to this darkened world,
but the decorations, lights, flowers, and 1,000 lights on the front of the house, are our youthful memories
of how family celebrates the Holy Days of Christmas.

When people come to visit, I try to explain the (overdosing) of Christmas decor
in the house. I explain to them that, "Macy's department store exploded in our living room!"
They just smile and enjoy all the glitter and expression of "It's a Wonderful Life" in our home.

It’s time for a new challenge…”Traditions”. Although Christmas is coming soon and many of us probably have traditions, both handed down from previous generations or those we have created ourselves, go for it. Also, traditions occur throughout the year and certainly don’t limit what you cover to Christmas, New Years, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Chinese New Years, Winter Solstice, etc. We have a great variety of people and Canada Day, Australia Day, 4th of July, St. Patrick’s, National Patriot’s Day, and Easter. Who knows. Especially with you UHHers’ imagination, I’m sure you’ll have a lot to offer.
Here are a couple of own family traditions. We’re big on decorating for Christmas and these have become some traditional decorations for us. Our son gave us these reindeer for Christmas many years ago and Rick arranges a display now every year.
The church was Rick’s mothers and was once his Grandparent’s. Rick puts it out every year along with the candles that she also used to put out.
Rick’s mom gave us, Rick’s son, and her best friend this puppet for Christmas one year, probably almost 40 years ago. We have kept it out and ever since our granddaughter has been very small, she always wanted to go into the room with “Sam”. And, we have always brought him out for Christmas. He’s family and gets a gift.
It’s time for a new challenge…”Traditions”. Althou... (show quote)
