I have driven myself to drink trying to upload pictures from my android phone to my windows computer. I have tried many methods, but none seem to work. ANY help would be appreciated.

For 1 or 2 I email them to myself, attaching the original.

If there are a bunch, I plug the phone into the computer and use Explorer to copy or move.

plug phone cable into usb port. on computer
find " this PC " on computer it will be a directory showing drives etc.
find phone on computer
on computer navigate to DSC on phone.
pix wil open up, Highlight pix and drag to a computer directory
at some point you will get a message on your phone about accessing photos, tell it ok!

or if using wifi, make phone discoverable , then find pix in DSC directory and drag and drop to computer

last email themto yourself. or if u can , send a bunch to dropbox at same time then download them to computer when you get time.

On Android you may have to change to "File Transfer"
Plug the phone into your computer, drop down the notification shade, tap "Charging This Device via USB", Then "Tap for More Options". Select "File Transfer"
The phone will now appear as a device in Windows Explorer on "This PC" just like all your other drives.
Open the phone, navigate to "DCIM", copy what you wish over to a folder on your PC

This is from a Pixel 3 running Android 12 but should be similiar on any Android device. If your not seeing the phone in Windows Explorer when it's plugged in to the PC it probably needs to be changed from "Charging" to "File Transfer".
You could probably search for "File Transfer" in your settings once your plugged in if your phone is different.
Hope that was helpful

If you have Lightroom, you can install it on your Android device. You use "Add photos" from your device, and you can then access them from anywhere else you have Lightroom installed.

I also have a free application on my Android (and Windows), MyPhoneExplorer. Unfortunately, it is not available on Mac, but it is available on Windows. You can look at (and copy) just about any files from your phone f(iles>DCIM). You can also transfer files the other way.

There is a Microsoft app for your phone called "Link to Windows". Using that, you link your computer to the phone. Then, using "My Files" you drag the image files from your phone to your computer. It is that simple!

Try Photosync - automatically syncs photos from my Pixel to the PC via wifi, in the background.

I use an app available on Google Play Store that comes from Samsung. It's called Dex and works well.
