Been checking the AZ CAMERA & WD sunrise & sunset; don't see much activity altho there are supposed to ge 20,000 of them; has anyone been there lately?

I have the option to go to Lodi area ( I kniw the festival is over, but I just foynd about cranes there); anyone been there, recently?

I' m in LV; tell me I should go to either one & I'll get in the car!

The Whitewater Draw Crane cam has been down. The barn it was attached to was damaged. You might call AZ Fish & Game.

suntouched Loc: Sierra Vista AZ

It was reported this weekend that the cranes are in and still arriving and the numbers are up from other years. Expecting 30k this year. Numbers are high now but didn't report exact count. Also the ducks have come in. I was there about 4 weeks ago and there were maybe a few thousand. Pictures posted this weekend show that they have arrived. Also with the cranes are the snow geese. Also reports of increased number of hawks now. I live about 45 minutes from Whitewater Draw. It's a gem!

Went to Thornton, California, not too far from Lodi, on Staten Island Road, an area I visit annually, and plenty of cranes were there. They usually hang around until January or even into February in this location.

Coming from LV; I was in Bisbee area a few months ago; best bet for staying a day or two to visit WD ?
