The rains of the last 24 hours are fading, but the clouds remain. The photo shows the Elvis Chapel at the Superstition Mountain Museum in Apache Junction around 9:00 this morning (12-04-22).
Superstition Mountain is shrouded with heavy, dark moisture laden clouds as the Chapel welcomes a relief from the badly needed rains. I recorded, just a tad under 2 inches from noon Saturday until Noon today.
As I was out driving around this morning, the creeks and washes are not overflowing their banks, as I had expected, which means that the water must have soaked into the parched desert, where it's needed most.

"Rains " or "reigns?" It's the King you are dealing with. But then when it's a chapel which king is being served?
Nice shot, Jack!
There were some mean clouds the day I was there in the spring, too.
What? Just one thumb, should be two at least.

This Chapel is actually just an old re-constructed movie-set from the Elvis movie Charro.
Jack

Rained all day jaymatt, at times the Mountain completely disappeared. Hate it when that happens.

Thanks again jaymatt, I'll take it.
