My favorite member of my favorite group. One of my favorite memories will of attending their Philadelphia concert in 2014. RIP Christine.
sad day for all Mac fans and for the rest of the band
What a huge loss. I saw them in 1985 in Hartford, Connecticut. Following an amazing set and a fabulous encore of "Go Your Own Way," the band walked off the stage. After a minute or two, Christie walked back on stage, sat down at her piano and asked if we'd like one more song. When our deafeningly positive response quieted down, she sang Songbird, solo, and it was absolutely magical. She added so much class and grace to the band.
Our contemporaries in the entertainment field are passing on - this really hits home.

She was the keel on what was sometimes a rocking boat. Because of the limelight shown on Stevie Nicks, she was often overlooked as a star but on songs like "The Chain" you could hear her contributions and I always liked it when the camera swung her way.

Sadly, this is probably the end of the group as we know it.
With Christine and Lindsey gone, it just will not be the same.
I was at Hollywood Bowl for their 1997 reunion, complete with the USC Marching Band.
One of my fondest memories is being in the audience to see this being recorded.

So many of our favorite singers, (and actors), are leaving this world
at a greater pace, these days.
Hearing of their deaths, reminds us that (we) aren't getting any younger
and that we are not immortal beings.
As I came from a Rock and Roll beginning (in the early 60's) I rarely listened to Jazz.
I was sure that I was incapable of enjoying Jazz. In my 70's I realized that there is a
huge reason for putting on some Jazz recordings, once in a while.
The words and musical productions are easy to understand and also easy to learn to
play a new instrument, if you choose to play along with the groups.
Most R/R artists cut some of their teeth for music compositions from Jazz artists.
Rock and Roll would still be being played in basements, if it weren't for Jazz music.
(and then there was Country Music.)
I love all of classical compositions from Europe.
Music helps our hearts to beat in Peace and Comfort.
as well.
Fleetwood Mac is one of my all time favorite bands. RIP Christine 😥

I know that many people see Stevie Nicks as the heart and soul of Fleetwood Mac but I always preferred Christine. I thought she was a lot prettier and had a much better singing voice. She also had more musical talent.
I was always partial to their album Bare Trees.
