Port Jefferson has a Dickens festival every year just before Santa comes to town. Many people dress in the clothes of the time. This was last Sunday indoors in the town center because of the heavy rain. The Santa parade, in the rain, followed, pictures of the parade members tomorrow.

Looks like a grand fun time! I love the hobo (just noticed his broom -- I guess he was a chimney sweep) character -- lots of preparation to attain that look.

Great set. I've my entire life in NYC area. The last 35 years a short ferry ride to Port Jeff from Bridgeport CT
and was never aware of this event. Will plan on visiting in the future. Looks like lots of fun
