Why the nasty color cast?

Personally, I think it's most likely a color space issue.

Thanks for the tip. I know I 'could" crop, but I prefer the "negative space" on the left. Artistic license and all...

I think there is also a bit of hue contamination in all of the photos posted in this thread.
