Just a Concept...
The Corvette Stingray Racer is a sports racing car and concept car that debuted in 1959. The car was developed in the styling studios at General Motors (GM) at the behest of Bill Mitchell, GM Vice President of styling. The design was based on a sketch by designer Pete Brock, and was further developed by Larry Shinoda. The car strongly influenced the styling of the second generation (C2) Corvette Sting Ray. I decided to keep the background dark in order to make the car standout better. I used and adjusted the blue channel in Photoshop to do the b/w conversion. Thanks for viewing!

yep, they had great "organic" lines on those years! I also like the transition years of 1961 and 1962 where they had the stingray back while maintaining the quad headlights from the earlier versions. Years ago I worked with a friend who had a '64 or '65 (can't remember) fuelie, 283ci'c and 283hp, and boy, did I have fun driving that!
All corvettes, even todays models, have remnants of that early design.

I think concept cars provide that very thing, and also tests the market which influences future design efforts. Thanks!
