The photo I called River Edge of Town was taken at the same time as the night photos of the town, but passing headlights lit the scene resulting in a reasonably well lit photo. The mountain overlooking Ouray is readily visible from town, but this shot was taken outside of town and shows more of the mountain. With more snow it would look much better, but you would not get the color in the foreground. The remainder of the photos fairly depict Ouray at night when the streets are not crowded with pedestrians. The River's Edge Lodge is where we stayed; It is quite comfortable and convenient. Box Canyon is just one of the many attractions of Ouray. I hope you enjoy.

Nice shots. That is the same motel my friend and I stayed in when we visited Ouray about seven years ago. This is a really good area to shoot in. Along with the mountains and interesting little towns like Ouray, Silverton, etc. There are abandoned mines, lakes, and ghost towns. I want to revisit there someday.

Great photographs Dan! We love Ouray, it is a great small mountain town! We use Ouray as our base for: Telluride, Last Dollar Road, Dallas Divide, Owl Creek Pass, Million Dollar Highway, Red Mountain, Crystal Lake, Camp Bird Road, Box Canyon, CR 5, CR 7 & CR 9, etc. Beautiful country! Where did you take photo #9 from? That is a beautiful and unique view! Did you visit the "Ouray at Night Photo Gallery"?

Beautiful photos! I did enjoy very much!
Brought back memories from my visit a few years ago. Scrap cookies from Mouses Chocolates are the best cookies on the planet! (IMHO)

It was taken outside of Ouray in route to Durango. I am not sure where exactly. I thought it was an attractive mountain and just kept looking for places to get a photo.
