π! Look what 30 fps can do for you. Love the series. Iβm curious, both birds are in pretty good focus meaning a shorter lens or sufficient DOF. Which lens and what stop, and how far away from them were you? With a long lens and being close to the subject, I donβt think you would have been able to get them both in focus.

I used the 100-400GM at 400mm, f5.6 at an approximate distance of 20 feet. The calculated DOF is just under 2 inches.
Using a 600mm with those parameters the DOF would be less than 1/2. However the pixel density would be greater at the same magnification. The image could produce a larger print if one was so inclined, but I suspect one would be less inclined to print it.
My opinion has always been, for most people a high pixel count body is more advantageous than a super telephoto lens.
The images were cropped to about 25% of original size.
