I can't leave well enough alone.
I have an old HP Prodesk G600 SFF which I put it by the TV so my wife can watch movies on the internet (those that she can't do it with our android TV). Well it has 8GB RAM and I3 CPU and I found that I have an I5 CPU and 8 more GB of RAM. So I upgrade the RAM and CPU and while I changed the CPU I damaged the pins on the socket.
Well I made my wife so upset. The drive from old computer is iffy and I need more reliable.
Using a USB microscope and small needle I have managed to repair LGA sockets with bent pins. Really not pins but small pieces of springy metal.

Yes it is. But so many of them. I lost my patience.

As I’ve been told many times, when digging yourself in a hole, a wise man (or woman) needs to know when to toss the shovel.

The road to spousal hell is paved with great intentions.
You could buy a Roku Streaming Stick or Apple TV or Fire Stick or ChromeCast, or...
https://www.pcmag.com/picks/the-best-media-streaming-devices Those things are mostly inexpensive ($18 to $140, with the best ones around $40) and they play a wide variety of networks.
Alternatively, I'd consider a used computer that will play the resources your wife wants to watch, if they're not on the streaming devices. My suggestion is a 2014 Mac mini like this one:
https://eshop.macsales.com/configure-my-mac/UAEG2H66XX2XXXBIt'll run MacOS up to 12.6.1, or Windows 10 or 11, or both, simultaneously, via Parallels Desktop 18. Download VLC Media Player and you have a great, zippy little media center. But it's also a bargain Mac that will do quite a bit for under $400. Use your existing keyboard, display or TV, and mouse. Used Macs are cheap right now since Apple's moving away from Intel to their own silicon.
Well I bought the replacement which is another one exactly like the one I damaged but with a little faster processor. No memory and no hard drive. I can simply transfer them from the old one. Cost me $54 and it should be here next week.

If you can make your wife happy for only $54, it's a bargain.
Well the guy who sold me the computer somehow lost it in transit. So he sent me another one 2 days air. He is OK.
Since the one I ordered is very close to the one I broke so I tried to clone the hard drive so I have an extra. Well I messed it up by cloning the wrong way so I have 2 drives with something I don't want.
Oh well I had to transfer the memory from the old computer and reinstall Windows 10. Takes a few hours but it's up and running now. So I got from an i3 with 8GB of RAM. Now I have an i5 with 24GB of RAM. The video is also capable of 4K so I can run my TV to its max resolution.
I hope for $54 my wife is happy.

That's true, mainly because men and women think differently. While we were dating, my future wife bought a new car. For Christmas, I bought her a window scraper for the ice, a little pad and pen, and similar items. She wasn't thrilled.
Another misunderstanding: my wife wanted a particular type of jewelry "from a jewelry store." I bought it for her, and she was thrilled. She wasn't thrilled when she saw the statement from the credit card. I told her that I had followed her directions to the letter, so of course, it was pricey! The store gave us store credit, and she picked out some other things. As they say, "You can't win."

My wife always wants gifts from me but she doesn't want me to spend any money. Sometimes I can make her happy when someone give me something for free I gave it to her. I don't think she is happy that I spent $54 do fix the computer. That computer I got from work for free and that made her happy then.
