We took a drive to visit family in Anton, Panama. On Saturday, between rainstorms, we visited a valley leading up to a village called Ola. We drove a little ways beyond until we could get a better view of this rugged mountain - Cerro Los picachos de Óla.
From there we drove a little farther south to the town of Natá de los Caballeros, which was the second town founded by the Spanish on the American Pacific side, in 1522. Only Panama (now called Panama Viejo) was older. The basilica in Nata was one of the first built anywhere in the American Pacific and the oldest remaining. It is nearly 500 years old. The second photo is from the interior.
I had trouble getting into any exterior photos, because we ran into a parade. However, I had a great time shooting photos of the participants.
