We were brought up to know that mushrooms/toad-stools were poison... deadly... as Clint East wood found out when he ate his favorite mushroom gravy in the movie Beguiled. Much folk lore attached to them. Your wonderful photos and self maturity have given me a respect for these beings that have survived all the earths cataclysms.
The shape, color, texture, and mushroom's design structure are so very well depicted in this beautiful skillfully taken documentation photo. Perhaps in this period of drought we should be eating more mushrooms and insects. Sippy, perhaps these should go in the closeup section?
