I got an email today from serif which is the manufacturer for all of the affinity software. They are trying to tease us about something big is going to happen on November 9.
I don’t like surprises. Anybody got an idea of what they’re going to announce?

Probably some sort of AI.
It's going to have to be exceptionally good to better the version I already have.
I've had Affinity Photo for 7 years and the upgrades have always been free - amazing. These major upgrades for all of their applications will require purchase (I'm okay with that). There has been no leak so far as to what the upgrades will be or when they will be released. I'm looking forward to getting Affinity Photo 2.0.
I've used Photoshop for nearly 20 years, paid for each upgrade, and learned a great deal. No complaints. But when Adobe switched over to the "rental" plan, I was finished. With all the stolen copies, as I would hear others in MicroCenter brag about how many different copies they have at NO expense, I didn't blame Adobe to switch to that rental plan. But not for me. So I switched to Affinity Photo and could not be happier. I'll enjoy their continuation of free updates, and remember, the initial cost was about $50. A super value program, and a very bargain price.

Optimist!!!
Same dance, different music . . . .
Affinity photo is all I have ever used. I edit on an iPad Pro M1 chip. My current setup will not run topaz ai. I have been contemplating getting a very expensive MacBook just to run ai. I sure hope serif will introduce an ai program and that it will run on my current iPad or even a newer iPad. Will gladly buy it if it works.
I switched from Adobe to Affinity photo and publisher. I was so impressed that I purchased two more copies to help out a couple of friends.
That is very generous of you.
