In trying to get this scene to work as a night shot I had to use a relatively long exposure. As a result, the boats at the bottom of the photo were blurred. I like the play of the lights on the water and can, of course, clone out the boats to eliminate that concern, but I've tried it both ways, and really don't know whether to use this version or the boatless one. I'd like to hang it as a 20X16 so the blurred boats will be very noticeable.

I'd appreciate any thoughts from those of you with more experience and probably better developed aesthetic senses than I possess.

At 20x16 ok the boats would be noticeable but also play their role of letting you know how people get arround. i would do the editing on a copy and then look at the difference, you might find it not that drastic and without the boats you may think the vacant space to large. other than that i like the light in the picture.

Very nice shot Windshoppe.
Just my opinion, I like it 'as is'. Maybe a tad darker on the blue sky but I like the rest just the way you have it.

I would leave the sky and boats as they are.

Print it on metallic paper and it will look nice the way it is.

A really nice image, well taken. Leave it as it is.
If it were my picture I think I would crop the top of the image to just above the highest houses.

Amazing shot. I would leave it. The blur of the boats will show movement to a still photo that adds to the effect. iMHO

Beautiful shot .... The only thing I would think about changing would be the spotlight on the edge of the cliff onthe right side. I wouldn't remove it. Just darken it a bit. My eye keeps going to that bright spot. This is on of those things I would have to do and compare to be sure.
