And, of course, your expectations determine all Truth. BTW, Neither logic nor science have yet to reach the Truth. Never will.

Logic and science are gifts from God, just as much as "free will" is given by God. I use logic and science to determine what my free will choices will be. And getting back to the original question of this thread, I don't make my choices regarding religion based on fear.

Life is full of events that at one time could only be accepted by blind faith. Then logic and science showed that many of these magical happenings actually had rational bases. I don't need faith that 1+1=2. I don't need faith to understand conception. I don't need faith to explain the workings of electronic or mechanical systems that are manmade according to designs/plans. I don't need faith to understand that the earth is an oblate spheroid and not flat. I don't need faith to understand how GPS navigation systems work, or how images "magically appear" on my computer or TV set.

And I don't think you need faith for any of those things either. But you do need faith to believe in the God that you have been raised to believe exists as described in the Bible, because there is no concrete evidence that He exists. Moreover, you need blind faith to rationalize the many inconsistencies in the Bible. I, OTOH, see the Bible as an interesting history book that talks of many things in metaphorical terms as written by humans, not by God himself. In fact, if God wrote the Bible (yes, through divine direction to humans) it should be infallible (even more than The Pope) and would not need the many revisions that have happened over centuries.

And contrary to your declaration, I believe logic and science are what truly reveal the truth about the universe. We may never know it all because by definition it is infinite; but we do know a heck of a lot about it; whereas you know very little about The Truth other than by repeating words and phrases that are shrouded in nebulous concepts that are "beyond all human understanding."

One thing for certain is we are all going to die.

And here I thought that "I" (as in my soul, not my earthly body) would live forever... somewhere (maybe heaven, or maybe where most of my UHH friends will likely end up).

Along with the other unregenerate murderers and robbers and rapist…….men can and do get raped by other men. Oh and no law enforcement we all make our own rules in the afterlife. No more dying we live with each other come one come all forever 😎

Sorry, but this just does not make any sense... as is the case with much of dogmatic religion.

Take the most important aspect of religion -- to be a good person in your life and in your relationships to others -- and you will have a happy life on earth. If there is a heaven, you will have checked all the boxes; if there is no heaven (or hell), then nothing is lost.

Religion never states that if you’re a good person that you will have a happy life on earth. You can be the best person on earth to everyone, and that won’t affect your eternity at all. Perhaps you should have studied more than saying things you think religion believes in.

You finally got that right, John. Your spirit will indeed live on for eternity, just not where you envision it to be.

I don’t want eternal life if it means having to listen you and other Trumpettes on UHH forever!

No one will be talking about Trump or any of this insanity in heaven. At least the one I’m going to

"Trump couldn't be any worse could he?" Ivanka to the other ones.

"Get him and accordion and a gold tooth." the other ones.

WTF are you talking about John. The price you pay for offering your idiotic ridiculous BS here is to listen to my well thought out ideas. This is an equal opportunity political forum. If you can’t handle the heat get the hell out of the boiling pot.
