I have used and trusted Turbo Tax for many years. This year as I compleated my 2021 return I was promped to create a Credit Karma account, trusting TT i did so.
Litte did i know my refund was going to be directed to CK. After waiting a few months with no refund I contacted TT about my over 2000$. It took 3 days to learn
that my $$ had been sent to CK on May 4, 2022. i went to CK and found it in a non interest bearng account. I never got a notice from CK saying my $$ was there although
I get 3 or 4 emails per week from them. I tried many many times to set up a link to my bank and
was on their chat a lot. It said sucess but there was no link. Chat suggested that I obtain a debit card which I have done 3 times and never got a card so I
contacted CK and requested a check for the full balance 2 weeks ago, no check although they said it was on the way.
IT HAS BEEN 7 MONTHS AND NO REFUND!

I have found a wonderful CPA. He has saved me more money than what I pay him, which is not horrendous.

I’ve used CPA’s twice in my life. Paid one $1,000 and the other $800. In both cases I found errors in the returns. I found more deductions than they did. Except for those two years I’ve done my taxes every year. Never been audited.

Yours must be more complicated than ours. We don't itemize, for one thing, but we do have investments. Only recently have we had to pay as much our CPA as much as $200. I do send him the work for two trusts, as well, which are fairly simple. He's a Michigan grad, which is that much more in his favor. He and his wife not only go to all the home games, but all the away games as well.

That’s interesting. I’ve used Turbo Tax Deluxe for many years now, and it’s never prompted me once to create a Credit Karma account. I just tell them to send it to my account at my credit union and it goes in fairly quickly.
