A Texas Damsel

Flight season has pretty much come to an end at home but I'm down in Round Rock (Austin), TX. Came across this spreadwing damsel. Most damsels perch with their four wings folded all together along their abdomen or held just above it. The spreadwings usually perch as you see this gut with their wings spread out. This is a male Great Spreadwing (Archilestes grandis) .

Glad you enjoyed it Richard. His eyes are that blue. There were literally hundreds of Familiar Bluets flying at this survey site but his bright blue eyes made him stand out.
