The 1961 Chrysler 300G was the final year for fins on the 300, marking the end of Virgil Exner's FlightSweep designs, but they did go out in a grand way!

I can see why, it was a beauty in black, and a convertible, only 337 convertibles were made! Thanks David!

Great shot - and they make nothing comparable to this in terms of beauty and style anymore

yes Mike, the '62 was "finless" and nowhere near as stylish, and in the subsequent years that followed that they really got kind of ugly looking IMO. Because of that, the '61 here has gotten to be very desirable to the collectors. Thanks Mike!

Gorgeous shot of a gorgeous car. Mopar was responsible for many, many wonderful cars. I owned a '62 300 (non letter series) for a few years. I never cared for the looks of the car but it ran great and the interior was stellar. This '61 is one of the most attractive ones. I like your perspective.

thank you Ava's Papa, this was a gorgeous car, a convertible in black with saddle leather tan seats! Under the hood, ram-air dual quads sitting atop a 413ci wedge, and who cares if it only gets 10mpg!
