This is a follow up to the landscapes from last week. We spent 6 days in Haines and two days in Juneau. There are plenty of eagles in both places and we always love Juneau at the Mendenhal Glacier because the eagles there are pretty well used to humans.
A forlorn eagle in the rain at the Mendenhal Glacier creek. Range about 10 yards with a Canon R5 and the 100 - 500.

A different eagle in the parking lot at Mendenhal after a rain shower. This bird stayed in that position for almost an hour and I added a 1.4x to the 100-500 for this shot.

Lunch on the Chilkoot River outside of Haines. Range about 30 yards with the R5 and 100-500

I would like to eat lunch in peace.

Getting the stink eye from this bird. Range about 15 yards R5 100-500.

Good work, Jim! Were they still on most of the lamp posts on the way out to Mendenhall Glacier?

Yes they were, but the Coho run was late and that's why some of these shots were perched eagles above the creek you cross just before the parking lot. Park Ranger tipped us off.
