Literally miles of debris like this along the sides of streets within blocks of The Gulf. A very strong storm surge combined with an incoming tide to virtually wipe out anything on the first floor of condo's and homes.
They got hit very bad with the storm surge!
There are places where you should not rebuild , this is one of them . I ll bet nobody will sell you any kind of home insurance .This is a big country , just move .
Very sad. Good luck to you.
I have worked a couple of times at storm clean-up. I find it so terribly sad to see everyone's total belongings out on the roadway to be picked up for trash. It's a painful reminder that treasures are just stuff.
That’s a shame. Same in Fort Myers Beach, where we were going after Thanksgiving, but not now.
Excellent but SAD image !!! Shang.

It’s easier to say just move than to do. I’m very happy with my neighborhood and friends here. We’re north of the major storm damage but did sustain damage. It becomes difficult to uproot a whole life.

Thanks for all of the comments. Fortunately, most of Naples does not look like the picture. Only homes/condos on, or close to The Gulf, got hit with the storm surge. I would guess 80% of Naples only suffered some wind damage.
