Former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard announced she is leaving the Democratic Party, denouncing lawmakers on the Left for promoting policies that “[racialize] every issue & stoke anti-white racism.”
“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are hostile to people of faith & spirituality, demonize the police & protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war,” Gabbard said. “If you can no longer stomach the direction that so-called woke Democratic Party ideologues are taking our country, I invite you to join me.”
Gabbard, a one-time presidential hopeful for the Democratic Party, retired from the House in 2021. Since then, the former Hawaii representative has been publicly critical of the party, particularly toward President Joe Biden.
“I believe in a government that is of, by, and for the people. Unfortunately, today’s Democratic Party does not. Instead, it stands for a government of, by, and for the powerful elite,” Gabbard said. “I’m calling on my fellow common sense independent-minded Democrats to join me in leaving the Democratic Party.”

I agree with her 100% on her portrayal of what the Democrat party has become. Several times I have heard Biden say the Republican party of today is not your father's Republican party and each time I think, holy s--t have you taken a look at your own party. I don't believe many Christian mid America common sense Democrats follow politics because if they did how could they stay with such a radical party?

I can definitely support her and do. Have always supported her. She was raised within a Republican family and was totally surprised when she came out as a democrat but when one heard her speak her family background really came out. Personally, I did and would support her for president in the future.

Yet todays Republican Party is under Trumps sway. And I am a life-long Republican who will never vote for Trump. I will write In someone’s name before giving that bloated idiot & liar my vote.

Unfortunately the libertarian vote in Arizona may cost the republican the Senate win. He has no chance of winning and the race is very close between the republican and Democratic candidates. If they at this point would vote for the republican it would be an easy win. Since they most likely will not it very well mean a demoncratic win.
