Been cleaning out stuff from my Dad's house and found this... taken over 50 years ago- with a Zeiss Icarex, I believe. Sam Pavatt was a very nice man, always ready to help in any way and he let me fish in his pond. He was a little too trusting and a thief swindled him and his wife out of what little money he had. My Mom told me this long after I'd left Arkansas. Makes me angry, still...

Nice portrait!! Such a shame he was taken advantage of; I hope they are rotting in hell for it.

Absolutely right, dustie, Sam carried that stick to poke and guide his handful of milk cows into the barn... and he always had that top shirt button buttoned...
