On Canon the crop factor is 1.6, not 1.5. That little difference means you are taking the equivalent of a 29 - 432mm zoom. That is more than long enough. Based on my several trips to Europe (I too had family living there) you will want something wider, especially in many of the old cathedrals and other buildings and maybe for family group shots. Look for a used inexpensive prime of about 14mm or 16mm (22 and 26mm equivalent on Canon). Or, if you find a good deal, get a wide zoom that goes from 14 or 16 to 24 or 35mm for more versatility in those buildings.. Even the small numerical difference between 26 and 29 equivalence makes a large angular difference in wide angle. And remember, what you spend on a extra used lens now an be recovered if you sell it when you get back.

I think your 18-270 will work fine. You might consider a Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX lens cheap fast sharp. My wife uses one quite a bit on her D7200 and like it for low light travel situations
