Very cute!!
For some, losing weight isn't easy. I've lost 23 lbs over the last 3 months and I've had a few days of failure along the way.

Don’t eat bread, or cake, or desserts.
In my experience, it is that simple.
Good Luck!

I've been losing the same 20 pounds for years, staying within a range that is twice what it should be.
Grandpaw, you are too funny.

So far I have lost about 65lbs. in a year and a half and my wife has lost 45. We have been following Weightwatchers. Good luck with your journey. Kerry
I remained fit most of my adult at around 190 to 200 pounds...athletic but not bulging.
Quit working when I was 47 and slowly added weight...not much at first...it sneaks up on us all.
Finally I hit 235...and said...enough is enough.
I did have help though and I would not recommend doing it on purpose...I got my nudge from some sort of food poisoning.
Sick as a dog for 5 days...lost 13 pounds right off...and the best part...I fasted involuntarily (sort of...no appetite).
That's the entire key folks...fasting. Once you do it...once you break through that mental wall (because that's all it is)...it all starts happening.
In 60 days, I was down to 175...didn't like it...went up to 180...better.
Through evolution your body is geared for fasting...food being plentiful is only a very recent condition...and still only in the western world.
Your body knows what to do...just get your mind out of the way...best way I can explain it...it's a mental barrier....not a physical one.
Oh...and pushups...the only exercise you will ever need...bar none...start angled in the beginning if it is too hard to begin...level out later on...and you will...you will.

You are correct about fasting. The body gets used to it, and it becomes less painful with time—-mind over matter.

We over consume for a variety of reasons and it all becomes...normal...when in reality it isn't at all.
Fasting is a quick and sharp reminder of how little food you actually need to stay in good health.
It's a positive reminder.
After a few one day fasts...two becomes easy. I try to limit to two...but have done three just to see.
It does create a positive mindfulness that bleeds into other areas...options...I'm always attracted to having more options.
Atkins weight loss diet works. You get so damned tired of eating the same no carb crap that you eventually get to the point you practically quit eating. That's when the weight loss kicks in.

At my last visit to my doctor she informed me that my blood sugar was too high and put me on medicine. That was the final straw! I knew I had to do something to bring down the weight to better my blood sugar levels and my blood pressure. After much research I came across an article that talked about how people with Diabetes should not exceed 130 carbs per day and that is what I have done. Yes, I have had a few days where my cravings for sweets have overtaken me and I have indulged but I get right back on the "wagon" the next day. Now that the weather is cooling I will be able to add a daily walk.
So the journey continues!

Reduce your calorie intake by 700/day & lose 1#/week
walk 25 miles/week & lose another 1#/week. Know that this is a chronic issue & will require persistence even after you reach your desired weight. I know people who have lost hundreds of pounds over their lifetime and gain it back plus more
