This post was inspired by a discussion of two days ago,
https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-751978-1.html on Sep 15, 2022. The discussion centered around compositing and adding things that weren't there. That along with other discussions within the thread, some touching on ethics.
Well, this "photograph" was done without a camera. Thus, the title "The False Path". It was completely generated by a computer. I simply input 'tree-covered mountains with clouds'. After the computer finished and gave me four choices, I selected one, did some processing on it, and posted it. I did find it interesting from a computer programming approach but find the ethics of claiming to have made a photograph a bit disturbing.
Don't get me wrong. Composites have their place in special required photographs, such as advertising, graphics, etc. So, to each his own. I prefer to photograph what was actually there and process that. I guess I'm somewhat of a purist.

That’s certainly an interesting one, Bob.
How does one know it's false if it's not explored?
I won't!!
And I agree with your position on this issue...their are too many false path's in life and they seem to be growing!!

That's cool.
Not my cup of tea but I can see how it will appeal to the public.
I find it interesting from my computer background. Otherwise, I'll stick to photography.

Bill, that was not captured. It was a computer creation. Completely done without a camera.
