Tangent to another thread.

I would like to grow a list as to what else could it stand for beside Artificial Intelligence.

1.Additional Intimidation
2.Actual Irritant
3.All Insanity

We can also present definitions:

1.Something to replace what is missing in politics.
2.The new craze to replace Lego-mania.
3.Where one goes to have a logical and/or illogical conversations.
4.The local soda dispenser.
5.Something when one cant afford professional help.

And?

As a Nikon user I think it stands for Automatic Indexing as in AI lenses.

Definitely qualifies. I remember the cameras that had notations around the lens that worked like slide rules.

Your screen name made this pop into my head:

Anally Irreducible

["Exterminate!"]

Uh-oh!

"When q (x) has irreducible quadratic factors it affects our decomposition?" Double Uh-oh! Synonym for "Exterminate"?

Back in the early - mid 1980's when I got my first home computer there was a AI psychiatry program written in Basic. I'm trying to remember the name of the program, but it escapes me. Not very revealing, but it was an interesting jaunt into the mind of the computer.

Going off tangent here. I tried to google AI psychiatry program written in Basic, I got a list of all sorts of reading. Now I am going have to go through several of these. One concept I have trouble with is the combination of AI with psychiatry. Originally, I went to college with a major in Chemistry and minor in Psychology. My intent was to do research in what chemistry does to the mind (brain). Unfortunately, Life does wield a big monkey wrench. However, I did keep my toes to the two areas along the way.

For the record, Psychiatry is practical medicine with an addition of Psychology. I have seen many in the field lean towards dealing with symptoms using their base in practical medicine rather than with the actual causes of the conditions.

However, I am going to read several of the articles on the AI aspects. I am not as well versed as I would like to be.

One thing I did come across: "Artificial Intelligence is a way of making a computer, a computer-controlled robot, or a
software think intelligently, in the similar manner the intelligent humans think."

From https://dcpehvpm.org/E-Content/BCA/BCA-III/artificial_intelligence_tutorial.pdf

From the wall speaker, in machine-like voice:"Take two pills with some water and call your counselor in two weeks."

That is "Automatic Indexing" not aperture index.

We are both sorta right...lol.

In 1977 Nikon introduced a new system for coupling the lens to the cameras exposure system. This new coupling system was called "Automatic maximum aperture indexing"
