This Mantis was eating a spider when I first saw it. I moved it to a different spot, so I could get a better view to take the photo. They don't move fast, but when an ant came along it took only a second to catch it.

Yes it has been a slow year for them. To the OP they do fly if you were not aware. Also after mating they bite off the head of the male. Lol Their best are about walnut size and look like dried foam of sorts very dirty looking. If you have one in the house and it hatches be ready for what seems like hundreds of miniature mantises. Lol. They are very cool. Nice photos.

Predator in action NICE! I have photos of them but none of them with prey.

I offered a cricket to one she grabbed it and bit the crickets head off! But I didn’t get a photo. :(
