Yes there is such a place as nowhere but guess where you are when you get there; nowhere.

Color me curious. What --really-- is the difference between these two photos? Okay, I'll grant that the 'perspective' is different between the two --one being wider, the other being somewhat less so, but the difference between the two is little more than a random result of you having taken a step or two to the left between the first and the second, or having zoomed (with lens or feet) more in one instance than in the other-- but in actuality, they're basically both the same. What difference there is resides in the proposition that one provides more 'information' --or more succinctly, that one shows a wider view than its counterpart does-- but regardless, I have to ask: which is the better --or which of the two better shows what is best worth showing? Or, more importantly, which better conveys whatever message you may have wanted to convey?

The above may sound as though I'm somehow panning one or the other of the images you posted, but I assure you, I am not. If doing that was my intention, I might comment on your exposure values (slightly underexposed, in my estimation), or that your choice of composition could likely have been improved, but idle "criticism" is not the point of this comment. Instead, I'd suggest you --and all who do as you've done-- think more about how you've (they've) presented/posted your (their) find, and do so with an eye toward more an 'essay' format. By that, I mean show something that starts somewhere then progresses to somewhere more revealing. It can be the 'same' view or scene or subject, but if you (or anyone) think(s) about it, when that scene, subject or view progresses in some way, it can have the capability to do something special.

Years ago, when I spent a lot of time in southern Philadelphia, they built a bridge over the mouth of the Schuylkill river at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. The bridge would become part of Interstate 95. The bridge was completed several years before I-95 made it to Philadelphia from the south side of the bridge. We used to call it, the bridge to nowhere.

Who really cares. I can only hope that one red neck in the county sees it for what it is!
