Every year, Catskill, NY assigns these large metal cats to various people to decorate. Other towns do similar things. I have Owls coming up and possibly tugboats. Two days in a row, I shot 130 pictures of owls and cats, so I have a bit of processing to do. Below are some of them.
The police department is across the street from "Sergeant Shepherd." He makes an appearance every year.
These were shot with my Z fc and 16-50mm lens. Processed with Nikon NX Studio. When I get all of them processed, I'd like to put them into a slide show.
These artists are greats - my fav is the Cataluna.
Nice shots, Jerry.

Saw the cats a few years ago, didn't realize that they were an annual thing

They auction them off for hundreds of dollars each. I don't know if there's a fee to decorarte them, but you have to apply and show your design. A friend is very artistic, and she does one every year. This year, she did a cat, an owl, and something for a third town.

Thanks. Now that I've finished all the processing, so I might take a look at an NX Studio tutorial. I'll see what I did wrong.

Interesting tradition, thanks for sharing. They are all good. :-)
Thanks. I could spend all day processing one image. Using several programs, I could probably spend a week working on just one.

Most interesting.
These people did amazing work. First, they had to come up with a good idea. Then they had to follow through.

Yeah, well, it keeps me from mopping the floors and doing the dishes.
