Excellent movie. A well told story about a boy and his family living in Belfast during 1969. Only one person died in the movie, and that from old age, despite some rioting and violence. Now on HBO.

I had forgotten how many, and how much, I liked Van Morrison's songs until I caught the movie. Each VM song evoked an "oh, yeah" moment for me.

He did do a great job. My memorable moment was the guy getting knocked out by the IRA collector, falling straight back and spitting his beer.
