We went to a huge Fleamarket and among other vintage goodies we bought this grill for yard art. The person selling it had no idea what it was from, he got it at an estate sale. I've been searching the internet trying to figure what it was on. I gave up. I believe it was from the 40s to early 50s car or truck. Does anyone know what it was from?

Most defiantly not a Cord if it was a cord grill it would be worth a great deal of money.

The person selling it, according to the post, had no idea what it was from. So if that was the case, the buyer could have acquired it cheaply. I agree that it looks like a Cord grill.

Probably not a Cord. I found some 40s GM and Dodge trucks that were similar, but not a match. Hopefully some one will know, if not it will be our mystery yard art.

I got it for $25.00, he had no idea of its value. No matter what it was from, it was a steal.

Looks like a 1942 to 1948 Nash grill.

The Cord Grilles were all short curved bars and about 12" -15" tall
I have worked on Cords back in the mid 60s and their grilles are not near that big .
Looks more like the Nash grille someone mentioned.
But I'M thinking more along the Truck lines

I don;t think it's from a car. It looks like more of an industrial lamp shade for outdoor use ore maybe an outdoor sconce.

Bingo!!!! Yes, looks like from a 1947 Nash Ambassador Custom. Now it's special to me, it's the year I was born.

It could be from a 48, but close enough. Thanks so much for finding this for me.
